Unannounced Cozy Game

Between larger projects, undeployed developers at Red Storm participated in a “cozy mechanics jam" over the course of a few weeks.
I imagined a game where you’re little kid helping your NPC parent run errands. For this game’s audience, I felt that having a 3C’s experience that was fun enough to aimlessly enjoy on its own was the most important thing. So that’s what I aimed to nail first.
I created a cute first-person and third-person character controller with the ability to control arm movements with joysticks and grasp hands with triggers. I also created shopping cart with simulated physics using Blender and Unreal’s Physics System.

Created Shopping Cart with Simulated Physics Using Blender and Unreal
First, I downloaded a free shopping cart static mesh from the Interwebs.
Then, I imported the FBX file to Blender. I used modeling tools to separate the wheels from the rest of the mesh. Then, I imported the segmented shopping cart static mesh into Blenders.
After creating a blueprint for the shopping cart actor, I used physics constraints on each of the cart’s wheels to allow them to roll and swivel like shopping cart wheels.
